Under the Code

About

My name is Ryan and welcome to my blog.  I studied electronics in high school but always had a passion for programming and have been doing it since about 15 as a hobby.  I have dabbled in a lot of different things ranging from HTML to C++ (and a lot of thing inbetween).   After high school I went directly to work (never really liked school) for a communications company.  After lugging wires around for about a year and a half and seeing that the chance to further myself in the company was small I left and had a lot of different jobs.  I finally found a  job as an entry level PHP programmer and been working there ever since.

In my spare time I am going to school to get at least an associates degree in computer programming, whether or not it is worth it.  Besides going to school, most of my time is spent programming either web or game related.  I have a very open source projects I have started, one is a set of jQuery plugins called Codereck Javascript Suite (yea I know it’s a lame name) and then my main project for the past few years which is a PHP MVC framework called Codereck.  The current version of my framework is not public available yet but it will be soon.  When I am not coding for either one of those projects, I am doing whatever I can to get better at game programming.

My posts are probably going to be mostly related to programming but I will probably throw is random topics every now then and also rant about stuff that pisses me off.
